Anyone ever have different symptoms with each flareup? Fatigue?

Question

Just a little background: I was first diagnosed with UC about 15 years ago. It originally manifested as blood in the stool and toilet bowl. I got it under control through various medications. I went into remission and didn’t have another flareup until late 2015, when the symptoms were similar.

Jump ahead to late 2020. Starting then, and ever since, I’ve been feeling unrelenting fatigue that doesn’t seem to be helped by anything. I’ve had God knows how many tests done to diagnose the issue, and everything has always come back normal. I have off and on had loose stool that I guess could qualify as diarrhea, but no blood.

I’m really at my wit’s end at this point trying to figure out what could be causing this horrible fatigue, and I recently read that fatigue is a common symptom of ulcerative colitis. However, I never experienced fatigue as a symptom during my past flareups. I never even considered that I could be in the middle of the flareup due to the absence of blood. I’m going to schedule a colonoscopy ASAP and I would actually love to learn that this fatigue was caused by UC this entire time so I finally have an answer.

I’m wondering if anyone ever experienced different symptoms with each flareup, and was fatigue ever one of them? Did your G.I. doctor ever prescribe anything for the fatigue?
