BEWARE: /r/thebutthole is a false idol
I recently received a PM from u/watonga with only the text "r/thebutthole". The banner image for that subreddit is goatse, and one of the threads there proclaims "You have now seen the Butthole." Because of this, I suspect that r/thebutthole is being sent to members of this butthole-gazing community. Remember: there is no quick path to enlightenment. While goatse is a butthole with a distinguished history, it is not The Butthole.

That verse is taken out of context! When you cross reference it with the sixth chapter of the book of Amphibians, you can see that Maximus was clearly referencing the conflict between the Hittites and the Mosquitobites in the valley of gungy-plunk. The word that the New Living Sphincter translation gives as "goatse" is better translated as "a bunch of old men fucking".
