Does mass effect 3 ever get good?

Im playing the trilogy back to back and me3 as absolutely dogshit imo so far after a couple hours into my playthrough. So far it's just an action shooter with like one or 2 dialogue opportunities/choices per cutscene. Very disappointed so far but I have to power through to get to a conclusion.
