Pellon Paper + Laser Printers

Can you use a Brother Laser Printer (B+W) with 542 Pellon Stick-n-Washaway embroidering paper?

I have an HP and it died and was very temperamental. Need something that will print sewing patterns and regular paper stuff. Seems that laser is better from old posts, but the packaging of Pellon says Inkjet printers. Is this just a "guideline" lol

Note: I hand embroider and dabble in sewing.
