Amp/Cab, Combo, or software with FRFR

Been getting back into guitar after a long hiatus. Been playing with some friends, and it's time to upgrade from my early 00's Crate amp. I currently have a few different guitars, an older 00's Crate 2x12 combo amp, 7 assorted pedals, and an audio interface.

Shooting for something in the $400-$600 range with a bit more volume. Playing a lot of doom, metal and classic rock. Been looking at used stuff and could use some advice.

Option 1 Amp/Head There's a Boss 4x12 cab with Celestion V30s in it for $300 near me. Would it work to grab a micro dark or cheap amp to hold me over until I save enough to buy a better head?

Option 2 Combo Grab a combo like the Orange Crush Pro 60, or Katana 100W? Some other option?

Option 3 Software with FRFR speaker I have lots of experience with other instruments, audio interface, VSTs and DAWs. So picking up something like Amplitube, or Neural DSP wouldn't take too much work, and I could just grab a FRFR speaker to output that to.

Anyone have any advice?
