Let's reminisce on some "leaks" that turned out to be completely fake!

Post 1: (Leak) some plot details for the next season (27 Jan 2023):

These are from a very short/casual series bible that was sent to certain groups of people in production, including a friend of mine. I know people are generally more interested in casting and stuff, but that isn’t something they get to know because it isn’t relevant to their branch of production. I can share some short plot details though:

• One episode includes a futuristic tourist trap that uses “time windows” to see dinosaurs. There are baby dinosaurs that were designed specifically for the show.
• There's a story set in the near future about the internet going dark and a company launching a new, family friendly internet. Involves alien “tequila worms” that drink thought.
• One includes a very typical grey alien that “molts” into copies of people. It’s real form is a slimy pelican-type thing. Intended to be very creepy. The episode takes place in a small town and was apparently inspired to some degree by the movie tremors.

To the best of my knowledge these are all actually in or planned for production and not just ideas being thrown around, but this is from work that occurred a while back so something could have been scrapped. There are some more things of interest, but obviously I don’t want to trace a leak to my friend! I was told these details were generic enough to share.

Post 2: 15th Doctor Era Info (13 Jan 2023):

This is a burner account for obvious reasons. I won’t say what I do but I work for Disney not the BBC, or BadWolf so I only know vague overarching plans, not specifics.

The 15th Doctor’s first season will be called Season 1 in an attempt to give new viewers a jumping on point.

The companion Ruby Sunday will have a boyfriend who romantically falls for the Doctor gradually over the next two seasons. It’s planned that the Doctor only reciprocates through flirting for now, but it may develop further if received well. The reason I’ve heard given for this is that RTD wants to avoid the classic female companion falling for the Doctor whilst the boyfriend gets pushed aside. He still wants a love interest to keep an element of romantic drama, though. Disney see this being controversial as the romantic Doctor plot-line has been used a lot.

The plans for the 15th Doctor’s personality were set out long before the 60th and is hoped to be similar to Captain Jack Harkness’ in terms of being flirty and fun, but with a side of sternness and anger as to not become a caricature.

The other piece of info I’ve heard is a long arc indented to go through all of 15’s run centring around him regenerating into an evil version of himself called the Valeyard. This is hinted at throughout Season 1 with flashbacks to previous Doctor’s warning Ncuti of his future. The finale of Season 1 is a story about a small group of Dalek survivors that intend to take over world set in 1940s America. It is revealed that the rest of the Daleks were destroyed by the Doctor in his future.

It’s intended that Doctor will regenerate into the Valeyard Midway through Season 3 with a future version of 15 going back in time to attempt to get him to regenerate back into himself. It’s hoped that pervious Doctors will be in 15’s final episode, but nothing is confirmed as actors will have different schedules."

So far the correct segments of this leak are: Series 14 being called Season 1, Ruby Sunday having a boyfriend (Jonah Hauer-King), 15th being flirty and fun, Season 1 being set in 1940s America (It will be Roswell 1947), Daleks in Series 14 (this has been said by other leakers). This also does tie in with Alice's leak of the Meep's Boss being close to the Doctor. The Valeyard could be "The One Who Waits" and explain The Boss's obsession with two-hearted beings.

Post 3: "Simone Greenfield" concept art

This concept art by "Simone Greenfield" of the "Gastronaut", "Harga-Venn" and "Jar Worm" were hoaxes. The Gastronaut was merely based on the Man-trap slugs that we all saw during filming. A very impressive hoax, though! According to someone on Discord, it was made by SparrowLucero

What other "leaks" turned out to be bogus for this season?
