How long can you hold onto smoke

I’m not talking about holding it in your lung or anything, I just mean like having it in a container that’s air tight, I have done something like this with a cart and a water bottle, and it got my sister high (which she also has low tolerance) so I wonder how long can you have smoke inside of a container and how potent would it be
