Question about Hagerty coverage

So I have Hagerty on my classic, they know it’s modified and I have the coverage where I keep it if it’s totaled. Long story short, my dad drove down with his trailer and picked my car up to haul back to his house a few states away. My dad is a known engine builder for these specific cars and mine was due for a refresh so he hauled it there and I am going up this weekend to begin the tear down.

So he apparently unloaded it and took it up and down the road, which is fine with me, he has my permission to do whatever with it. Apparently he absolutely plastered a deer coming out of a turn and destroyed the whole front end as well as rad supports, intercooler, fenders, and the doors are damaged from fenders getting into them.

Would Hagerty cover it since it wasn’t me driving? If so would they require a police report? I’ve never had to do a claim with them and they’ve been nothing but helpful in getting insured, I’m just not sure what to do. I can put it back together out of pocket, but i pay for insurance so I thought why not.
