Did Star Citizen raised the base entry price to the game from 45$?

I want to get into Star Citizen and I was under the impression the base package ir whatever they call it costs 44$, but the cheapest one I found was 52$. Am I looking at the wrong thing or have they raised their prices? Also can you suggest a beginners guide video or playlist for SC? I know they're lots of youtube guides but I want ti hear what you guys recommend.

Thank you very much!!
