Turbo imploded and DPF clogged, $7k to fix?

Hi, I could use some advice on my 2012 Golf TDI.

I knew my DPF was getting clogged but did not know that would put pressure back into the turbo and cause it to fail, which it did. Dealership is quoting me $6,600 (USD) to fix both. My usual TDI mechanic quoted me around the same to only do the turbo and said he can't do the DPF. Car has 200k miles on it and was well-maintained prior to this. There are a few other medium issues as well but not as important (shocks/struts, slow leak at camshaft seal, AC recharge).

My max budget for anything is $8k if I'm really pushing it and all the used cars I'm finding are much older, cheaper (Hyundai) and have 100k+ miles, so I'm back to wondering if I should just have the dealership do these repairs.
