Passport validity for about 5 months to transit in UAE

hello, I am going on a short 4 day trip to oman from Saudi Arabia. I am a Canadian citizen and also hold residency for Saudi Arabia. My Canadian passport has less than 6 months validity but more than 3 months. I checked the oman entry visas and on that it says for a stay up to 14 days the passport has to be valid for a minimum of 2 months ( so I’m pretty sure I’m good). Although on the way back from Oman I am stoping in Abu Dhabi for just a few hours before I continue back to Saudi Arabia. My question is:

Would I be able to leave the Abu Dhabi airport with less than 6 months validity. I do have an onward flight and would only explore for a couple of hours. I

Am I eligible to get transit visa on arrival and would they let me go out for just a couple hours.
