Speed limit E-bike

In Sweden, where I live, speed limits for electric bicycles are 25 km/hour (15.5 miles/h), but I have understood that in other parts of the world, for example USA, 20 miles/h applies. I have a Specialized Turbo Vado ST 4.0 which I know is sold in both the EU and the US. My question is if it is somehow possible to get my EU bought bike to get the US speed? This 5 extra miles is just perfect for me, I have no use for faster speeds than that... Any thoughts?
