self control

my boyfriend of 4 years (long distance) is very busy with his work, study, life etc and so am I but with other things. I always find time for hi, but he is always busy in his own work. and he isnt lying. he is genuinely busy and doing household chores or studying but i dont see myself as his priority, he says i am and he says he tries his best but i dont feel that. i dont want to keep waiting for him all day that when will we talk, i want to get busy and not care about him for the rest of the day like he doesnt care about me when he is at work. how can i not make my life around him? i want to be busy on my own.
