What is your asset mix between brokerage and retirement accounts?
Right now I have 50% of my money in pre-tax and roth accounts, 40% in brokerage and 10% in cash. I'm wondering if maybe I am putting too much money into my retirement accounts since I won't be able to access any of it until I'm 60, yet I want to retire at 45 if possible, or at least switch careers.
I know that it's always good to have your money in tax advantaged accounts, but given the age restrictions this might not be the best option for those who want to retire early.
Anyone have any thoughts? How is your money distributed? I am purposefully leaving out property since I just live in it, but if you have property that generates income I can see how that would change the numbers.
