I'm about to adopt two old ladies who do not get along! Help
Hi guys, like the title says, I'm about to adopt two old ladies (one is 4 and the other is 5) because their previous owner can't take care of them anymore. I've never had guinea pigs before but I believe I've done sufficient research over the past few months to adequately take them in. However, they have to be separated in their cage to not get into fights. I'm very nervous. I've been looking for piggies in my area to adopt for months now and this is the closest I've gotten to going through with it. My main concern is their age and the fact that they can't be kept together :( However I believe if one of them passes away the other one wouldn't require me to get another piggy to keep her company, right?? I'd be 100% okay with doing so if that's not the case by the way. Is it possible to try to get them to slowly accept each other or is it a bit too late to do so as they've lived separated their whole lives? Would Introducing a new piggy to one of them maybe help keep them company? In a crazy idea: Introducing a new piggy to each of them? Any help will be much appreciated!!
