Unemployment Anxiety

Need Support

So I’ve been unemployed for almost 6 months. It was my own decision to leave my previous job for mental health reasons because the workplace was very toxic. So that resulted in me quitting impulsively but I was ok with it. I’m in my 20’s and still live with my parents. I’m very fortunate as they don’t make me pay rent. I also have a very supportive partner which i’m so grateful for. So, the first 1-2 months was ok, tbh I needed abit of a break (I’m a firm believer that if you’re able to ofc, it’s ok to take career breaks) your wellbeing comes first. Now ever since I’ve been struggling to find another job. I’ve had multiple interviews or just rejection after rejection. It’s starting to make me feel discouraged and useless. I feel depressed from it. I have moments where I’m in a state of gratitude and don’t like to base my self worth on a “job” but recently it’s really been getting to me. I’ve been doing small things to keep me happy and occupied whilst I’m applying. Everything has been going ok until I get a message from a sibling who has a go at me for being unemployed and it set me off. It’s like oh am I not allowed to live in a state of present and gratitude while I look for another job. I’m literally trying the best that I can and my sibling tells me to THINK ABOUT YOUR FUTURE. It just makes me so anxious. What is this need for always having a sense of urgency.
