When did your baby start to accept side lying position?

My baby is 7 weeks, I haven't weighed her since 6 weeks but she was 9.7lbs then and likely over 10lbs now. However she still hates the side lying position, I also find it difficult because my breasts are quite large.

At what age/size did the side lying position start to work for you? Do you always burp them afterwards even as they get older? We co sleep and I've always heard people say side lying make it very easy as they can just feed and go right back to bed.
