Blood Results assist please
I am a mid 30's female with a myriad of symptoms, fatigue, brain fog, and body pain being the primary ones. Recent bloodwork shows high iron and transferrin saturation (first time for me). It seems surprising on account of pretty normal bloodwork a year and a half ago. Is this likely to be hemochromatosis?
| Test | Jan 2023 | July 2024 |
|---|---|---|
| Ferritin | 88 | 75 (normal) |
| Transferrin Saturation | 34% | 64% (high) |
| Iron | 96 ug/dL | 200 ug/dL (high) |
| TIBC | 280 ug/dL | 311 ug/dL (normal) |
| Vitamin D | 25 ng/mL (low) | 26 ng/mL (low) |
| HDL | 46 mg/dL (low) | 47 mg/dL (low) |

- het positive for H63D
- het positive for R468H
There are several genes outside of just the two listed on this website btw. See https://core.ac.uk/reader/71740070 study for a more comprehensive list based on the new research.
Lifestyle
- healthy weight, runner several times a week
- no dietary changes
- low stress (currently)
