Package managers!
As a relatively new macOS user, coming from Linux, the first thing I sought out was a package manager.
That was almost 2 years ago, and from my limited research I fell on Homebrew. Since recent I started using NixOS and fell in love with it so much so that I installed the Nix package manager on my Mac, and to my surprise there are a lot of aarch64-darwin packages (Apple Silicon compatible).
The other day I commented on a post and had people telling me they never heard of Nix/no one uses it/not as many packages as MacPorts.
So that inspired this post, what's the state of package managers on macOS? What do you use? It seems that the majority uses either Brew or MacPorts.
