Window unit smells like weed?

I don't smoke and don't have neighbors. The unit was brand new when I bought it last summer.

Over the past week the odor has gotten stronger. When the AC is on it smells strongly like weed or like a strong plant smell. The filter is clean.

Any ideas what this could be, or how to fix it?
