This is nothing. I'm fine. I'm moving on.
That's what I'm telling myself when I feel an anxiety attack building.
For context, I have had health anxiety for well over a decade now. Each time my anxiety is set off by monitoring my body and thinking whatever I feel/sense is going to worsen, or is something sinister.
It has taken a tremendous amount of time and energy for me.
More recently, I've discovered that the constant checking of my body is only making my hypochondria worse.
They're signals in my body that constantly happen. They scare me, but they're not sinister. If I'm that worried, I'll go to a doctor.
For now, I am moving on.
