Confusing Signals, Recently Single, Needing Help

I came out of 12 year marriage, turns out some folks are interested.
One of them, was a close friend of the ex, who became a great friend to both myself and her, has expressed interest.
After the breakup, ex-wife removed everyone in the social circle for whatever reason.

I've spent a lot of time with the friend during the breakup and she's been there for me.
During our last catchup, she mentioned she's got a huge crush on me, wanted me to take time to work things out and wanted to be THE next woman in my life.
We kissed a few times, it was amazing.

But over the last month since those kisses, she's gone distant on me. We went from chatting daily, to getting 1 word answers.
Soon as I bring up the kisses or a date, she goes radio silent on me.

I want to stress that I haven't been spamming her with texts/calls. Just the usual conversation amount/times.
Just confused how we went from daily hourly conversations, joking texts etc, to kissing to "yup" "nope" or "mmm"

Did I maybe move in too quick?
Was it just her being nice during a difficult time?
Or maybe she's had a think, now that it's "real" it's not what she wanted?

Any advice would be appreciated!
