Mirror of Loss not working

So, I defeated the Sharrans in the house of grief, but for some reason the mirror isnt working. I read here about a solution, tried it, still didn’t work. Problem is that I cant get the buff from it, I can offer it my memorys but i dont get anything from it. Does anyone have an answer?
