Help with Structure of Meetings

Hi. I am trying to maintain my cool at scout meetings but I feel like our troop does not accomplish anything during them. It ends up being a scouts hangout session.

I feel like our troop needs a structured outline for the meetings.

Right now we:

1. Do the opening
2. Do patrol corners (which is a complete breakdown).
3. Do some sort of maintenance activity for the troop (every time we end up organizing our storage over and over).
4. Play a game (sometimes).
5. Announcements and close.

We don’t assign an ASM to monitor/guide the patrols. They pretty much just go and are expected to do it on their own.

How would you/do you structure your meetings to keep them productive?
