Tress of the Emerald Sea… exciting build up, disappointing conclusion.
I just finished the book. I’ve heard great reviews about it so I thought I’d give it a shot.
I found it disappointing that the book was about 350 pages of build up and about 10 pages of a simple conclusion.
Tress’s encounter with the dragon was comical, but quick after much build up sailing the emerald sea.
Hoid defeating the sorceress took one paragraph to defeat and she didn’t seem so powerful as she was made out to be.
I assume the story was mostly about Tress’s character build, which was fun but the build up to such a quick conclusion left me wanting a bit more.
Am I the only one, or am I missing something?
