Gimp preventing my pen from working

Title kinda says it all, I can use my pen just fine in clip studio but the exact second I open up gimp my pen stops working immediately. I tried following some advice but even when I got it to work it was stuck on the clipping tool for some reason. It was working just fine a day or two ago and didn't get updated at all. Anyone able to help please, I really wanna be able to use my pen since it gives me greater control!
