Hey everyone, long time listener, born and raised in South Dakota and who currently lives in Sioux Falls, SD (the state’s biggest city, with about 300k in the metro area).

In the latest episode, David said that Dances was filmed near Pierre, SD, and pronounced the word like “Pee-yair,” with a French tone.

It is actually pronounced simply like “Peer” or “Pier,” like Navy Pier. Common misconception. Made me laugh when I heard it on the pod.

All I wanted to say. Not often I get to use my South Dakota knowledge when it comes to this pod. Already loving the Costner miniseries and looking forward to The Postman this weekend!
