How to/can not call international number.

Hi. I recently got locked out of my amazon account, due to suspicius activity. Therefor i recived a mail, in which i was given 3 numbers to call them on. Since i live in Denmark i of course tried calling the international one, which is "International customers: 1-206-922-0880". But when i type it into my phone, it looks like this "+1 (206) 922-0880" and i get a message saying "The call could not be complete" How do i properly contact the number?
