Clinic doesn’t do ADHD evaluation

I’ve been seeking behavioral therapy and medication and was referred to a clinic by a friend but the clinic told me they don’t do evaluation for ADHD which is something that I strongly believe I have. My friend insisted I get services there because only the doctor can determine that..but it doesn’t make sense that the clinic would tell me that if the doctor does indeed give medication to help with ADHD. Should I take a chance to get therapy and a psychiatrist at that clinic in hopes of being treated for adhd along with my other conditions or am I wasting my time and should look elsewhere? I’m having a hard time finding clinics who accept my insurance.
