My (24f) boyfriend (28m) doesn’t potentially love me?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for the past 5 months. We have been having an amazing time together until today, he sat me down and essentially ended the relationship as it came down to "I don't think I love you and I think I should've by now".

Obviously this hurts and I feel gutted. I was definitely heading down that path and I'm just so confused. He even said everything was great, he loved things about me, and loved our relationship.

He had nothing bad to say and I'm just so confused on how he doesn't love me. However, I'm also confused on why he thinks he should by now? Is this normal? Should he by now?

I'll be honest I don't know what I'm looking for with this post - tips, suggestions, hope, support? Feeling very lost and confused having to give up a relationship that still feels so good.
