Basically, I adjusted the lighting and polished up his makeup. At no point did i change the shape of his natural features. I just used light and shadow to make many subtle tweaks.

For example, I thought the lipstick application was kinda messy in the original (and not in the deliberate kind of way). This sort of look happens when you apply only lipstick and with time it "bleeds" into all the little wrinkles around the mouth. That's why lip liners are used prior to lipstick application, as they prevent the bleeding, thus giving a more crisp quality to the edge. In addition, I filled in some of the area where lipstick wasn't applied to begin with, as it was kinda jarring visually because of the color difference.

I also corrected his eye makeup mostly by balancing the light and dark on each eye. For example, the waterline on the right eye (your right) was not filled in with a dark eye pencil so it was also sticking out too much, especially as it is surrounded by more shadow than the left eye. Speaking of the left eye, the eyeshadow on the lower lid was too dark and it was clashing with the well lit skin around it as well as with the pale iris. By doing that, I think the contrast between the two eyes has been improved. There were other changes I made to the eye makeup, but those were just subtle adjustments to balance things out.

Next, I changed the lighting mostly by brightening up the darker side of his face to bring out the definition of his silhouette. Toning down the brightness of the background inside the reflection also helped with that. Again, I made a lot more little changes to even things out.

Finally, I ever so slightly lowered the upper edge of the glass shard. To me it looked a bit cramped up there so near to the margins of the overall format.

Hopefully this isn't perceived as me shitting on Manson. I just have a lot of time on my hands and wanted to see what the cover would look like if it were adjusted to my liking without completely changing the initial concept.

I thought the leaked single/album art was a bit messy, so I fixed it up a little bit without changing it too much
