Cant get rid of red DRAM light after trying almost everything

Anytime i try to boot my pc i get a red dram error on the mobo and no monitor signal. The pc boots when a single ram stick (both sticks work) is in slot a2, but not when both are in a2/b2 or a1/b1. I have reseated the cpu and ram, updated bios, tried new hdmi cables and monitors, and a few other tiny things. Is there anything that can be done outside of returning the mobo?
