Automatic downloads from website - potential virus?

Hi,

i have a question regarding an automatic download happening while i visited a website:

Recently i was on my phone reading an article on a website and then i noticed that a file was downloading from cdb.emdedly.com, it was "widget_media.html.torrent".

I didn't click on anything and there were no ads or such i could have clicked on. That's what made me suspicous. I googled a lot, but i couldn't find any answer to that problem.

Is this just a harmless widget or could this be a sign that my phone is somehow corrupted? I already deleted the file and used AVG Antivirus and Malwarebytes to scan my phone, but they couldn't detect anything.

Is there something else i could or should do right now? I am sorry, if that is a dumb question, but i am generally more a slow person, so understanding tech stuff is hard for me.
