Help pls🥲

I just started Elden Ring yesterday, managed to beat the first boss and now stuck on Godrick. I have 16 hours and I’m only level 32 and I really don’t know where to go from here.

Every friend I know who plays it is just telling me to level up and explore the world but it feels impossible to level up. I need to beat bosses but to do that I need to level up…. but to level up I need to be defeating bosses????😂

I’m currently switching between using uchigatana and the twin blade sword! Any tips/advice would be amazing.
