Metformin causing Problems?

Context: i have diabetes type 1 and PCOS since 3-4 months now. I recently started taking metformin 500mg 2x day and night, but noticed i started to spend most of my time at the toilet. Its bugging me really hard, and i hope im not the only one. Metformin has helped me so much against my insulin resistance and i asked my doctor if i could try another way. Do you guys have any advice so i dont spend my timr most on the toilet ??
