[M4F] A Kingdom Conquered

It has been many years since the great war had started, going on so long that only scholars remembered what truly started it, though both sides will always blame the other for beginning such a conflict. For most of the conflict, the battles between the Alliance of the Western Kingdoms and the Empire of Nethrim had run about even, some being won by one side and then some by the other. Territory had been lost and then taken back in what seemed to be a never ending battle, the only change being the size of the graveyards that grew next to the battlefields.

However in recent years the tides have turned against the Alliance, with Empires victories growing more numerous with the months, and the no mans land growing smaller and smaller. Now the fight has finally come to the borders of your Kingdom and your so-called allies have abandoned you, leaving you to fight for your land on your own, with no help from those who would be using the time your people spent dying to improve their own defenses.

Things were dire and the soldiers of your Kingdom were weary but steadfast, ready to fight to the death to protect their home and their families no matter how futile it might be. Yet to everyone's surprise it is not an army of the Empire that sweeps over the border of your kingdom in a wave of destruction, but rather a single messenger and his entourage, carrying the words of the Emperor himself.

In the throne room of the King, the messenger speaks of how the Empire could fight and crush your kingdom into rubble like the other stepping stones it has beaten before, or they could find common ground instead. Should the deal that is being offered also be accepted, the Empire will not wage further war upon his lands but instead leave them to rebuild, instead bypassing them to take the far richer lands of those who had left you to die in the hopes of saving themselves.

All the Kingdom has to do on their part is to accept the formal ceasing of hostilities, and of course surrender you to them both as a hostage and to build a connection through marriage to mark this new treaty.

Who is it that you will be married off to? Why the son of the Emperor of course, the scourge of the Alliance and the reason why you and your allies had been suffering loss after loss over the past few years. A successful general and warlord for his father, there have been many rumors and dark propaganda about this man, but his success on the battlefield and in command has spoken for itself. He has personally taken the heads of many of the Alliance commanders and heroes, killing them with the ease of a hunting wolf and leaving their bodies staked on the battlefield where their fallen army lies.

There have been other more unsavory rumors as well though, ones that speaks of the maidens and noble ladies that he has caught as they tried to escape from their lands before his armies fell upon them. Of how he liked to ravish them like some sort of beast out of a nightmare with no care for propriety of mercy, satisfying himself before tossing the poor women to his men or keeping them as pleasure slaves to let his bastards grow in their bellies.

This is simply too good of a deal to pass up however, and the King has decided to accept it for the sake of his people and his Kingdom, despite having to sacrifice you in the process. You are being sent back with the messenger, who will bring you to the war camp where Lord Gawain Nethrim waits with his forces, where you will meet your fate whatever it might be.

Hey there! That was definitely a bit of a long intro, but there was a lot in my head to get out for the general outline. To sum it up, your character is being given to the Prince of the Empire to seal a marriage treaty and halt the fate that had been coming for your Kingdom. There have been many rumors about this Prince and you have no idea whether he is a lascivious beast who will simply use you to breed his heirs, or they are all completely false and he is completely different, who knows maybe he's an actual beast, I’m alright with leaving that up for discussion.

I left things pretty open ended for who your character will be, as I find a bit of freedom can make a roleplay more interesting. Will she be a Princess, a former war general for the Alliance, maybe even the Queen of the Kingdom, it is all up to you!
