I think a glitch cost me all my progress (Riven 2024)

I have a question about >!the lift to the gold dome with the colored balls!<.

What I think should have happened: >!It's supposed to lift the character up on the platform to access the puzzle above.!<

What actually happened: >!I just clipped through the floor, and the platform is way above me. I assume there's a button to bring it down, but it's probably up there, isn't it?!<

If anyone can either confirm I'm screwed or help find a way out of this mess, I would appreciate it!

Pretty sure I'm supposed to be up there, not walking around down here...
