Almost hit by a car on baseline 2400 road earlier today around 4:30pm

Fellow citizens of boulder, please be careful crossing the street on baseline and 2400 road near starbucks. Earlier today, my mother and I were both nearly killed. We were walking while our walk sign was on and a woman driving a van just came and bolted through and nearly ran me and mother over. My mother is getting older a woman in her 70's. My mother was not paying attention and thought were were fine. Luckly I was with her and told her to stop in her tracks. That driver was not paying attention and did not seem to care, and bloted through. While we had the green light.I have nearly been ran over in that area of town for years. I am happy to have made it home and live another day.
