Community colleges

Hi there. I have been asking myself if it's possible to study at a community college while being an au pair, studying to get an associate degree. If it's not possible, is there a way to use the 6 necessary credits in some way that will speed up my subsequent process of getting that degree, or should I use these 6 credits to study something new and different?
