[M4F] A date with Daddy

It was your mom's idea. You were upstairs in your bedroom crying your eyes out after your jerk boyfriend had dumped you via text on the day of your one year anniversary. You had been saving up for months and had booked a table at the fanciest restaurant in town to surprise him and now you had nothing!
No matter how happy I was to see the back of that loser you were with my heart still broke to know how upset you were. When your mom suggested I take you out to that restaurant and spoil you a bit to cheer you up it didn't take much convincing for me to agree. After all nothing in this world makes me happier than to see you smile and hear your cute little giggle of joy.

You took a bit more convincing but eventually you let your mom convince you to go out with me. She promised it wouldn't be weird going out with your daddy and insisted it would be the best thing for you.

That evening as I waited at the front door worrying that we'd miss our table booking my heart caught in my throat when I saw you emerge at the top of the stairs and delicately make your way towards me. You looked like a princess in your shimmery satin dress, even more so than normal. I finally had to admit that my baby girl was all grown up.

We shared a look of silent appreciation as your mom fussed around you before pushing us out the door.

"Have fun you two!" were her final words to us before she shut the door.
She would never know just how right her words would prove to be.........
