Sign language

Context:

So, I have trouble reading because of the whole wandering off thing and then having to re-read the same sentence 48 times, etc etc. just like a lot of you here, I’m sure.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to speak, and sometimes I want to speak but it’s not appropriate at the time but I need to let my dialogue out quietly somehow and I thought that learning sign language would be extremely beneficial for those situations.

When I see people sign on tv or YouTube or something, it looks wild. Like I don’t know if my brain can pick up all those specific quick movements. And I doubt I’d be able to keep my attention on them.

Question for the ones who know:

How difficult is it to pay attention to someone who is talking to you via only sign language? Do you ever have to ask them to repeat things? Is it hard to keep your eyes in their direction so you can see what they’re saying?
