Am i a puppy in your eyes ( Poem 1)

Am I a Puppy in Your Eyes?

Am I a puppy in your eyes, A fleeting toy in your disguise? Your laughter, once a beacon bright, Now haunts me in the dead of night.

We roamed the fields, the sun our guide, I trusted you, walked by your side. But shadows fell, and in their gloom, I saw the truth, my heart’s own tomb.

You wore a smile, so soft, so sweet, Yet hid the claws beneath your feet. A wolf that prowled in friendship’s name, A shifting shape, a ruthless game.

Each twilight brought your subtle change, A face that felt so cold, so strange. I stood there, loyal, through the lies, A puppy lost in your cruel eyes.

I chased the dreams we used to share, But found the night was stripped and bare. The whispers of your hidden truth, Have turned the joy of love to ruth.

You led me to the forest deep, Where secrets dark and silent creep. I barked and wagged, my trust was blind, While you concealed your darker mind.

Now I am left beneath the skies, A question burns, my heart denies. Am I a puppy in your eyes, A fleeting whim you cast aside?

Friendships built on hollow ground, Are quick to fall, without a sound. In moonlit nights, I roam alone, A loyal heart, a love disowned.

Am I a puppy in your eyes, A simple toy in your disguise? Or did you once, in fleeting grace, Hold love for me within that space?
