Iden Versio Question

So recently I used Iden Versio and her ID10 Seeker Droid. I recently got her, and this is my third game with her. It was just me and my friend playing, so we didn't really care about the result and just wanted to play for fun. Anyways, I had used her to get two objectives, but she was being gunned down by one of his units. Since the droid had small, I knew he couldn't die. My question lies in whether the Seeker Droid can survive after Iden dies, and if he can keep the objectives Iden claimed. We both are relatively new to Legion, so any help would be appreciated.
