AITA for asking my boyfriend to forget my past and just live in the present?
Hi, for reddit let's say my name is Stella (F32) and my boyfriend is Daniel (M32), we met in 12th grade and we're in a relationship for about a year back then, and rekindled last year, after he separated from his ex-wife of 9 years, we now live together and are planning to get married in 2 years. Our relationship at the begging was wonderful, no problems at all, I supported him during his divorce and all the drama that comes with that. (For context we started talking again months after they separated) It was rough, she sued him for family violence, stalking and R@p$. All accusations were false and he won all the lawsuits. After the divorce finalized he started changing with me, he saya he loves me but we constantly argue because he found out that I was with more men in the past that he thought I was. He checked my phone and found messages that were from long before we started talking and now he doesn't trust me and he feels like he can't get over the fact that I was with so many men, (not a lot but for a man being withorenthan 3 people is a lot) He on the other hand was a virgin up until he got married. And has been with just one other person besides his ex and me. So his self confidence is on the floor regarding our intimacy, we fight a lot and he wishes I could just erase my past but that is impossible. I must also add that he is a Jehovah's witnesses. He was expelled because of his divorce but he still goes to their reunions. My question is, Am I in the wrong for asking him to just get over it or what can I do or say to help him get over the fact that I was with pther people in my past?
