loa questions

so today i put in for a personal leave of absence. it’s so i can go help out my chronically ill mom with the house as her electric just got shut off and due to her flare up from the heat she needs help getting the house cleaned and taking care of the pets, etc.. i put it in for a personal leave as i’m not giving her medical care, nor have i been there for a year yet and dont qualify for the family and medical leave. i’m curious on if that’s correct and if you think they will approve of it? i cant get another point and i’m stressing a little because i need to go help her and don’t wanna lose my job lol
