Fixing Borderlands (2024)

Obviously the movie is nothing like the game, especially when it comes to a lot of the characters and their casting. However, there could be a way to make that work.

When the opening credits start, the actual voice actors from the video game start chiming in. Basically this is a movie in their universe and they're all sitting down to watch it. It's based on them, but not them, and they complain about not being asked to play themselves. Then when the closing credits roll, we again hear from the peanut gallery about the movie and what they thought of it.
