Copenhagen is overrated
For starters, I enjoy the map, and I do have fun playing it, it's a fun map. I simply believe that the rest of the maps are better, even San (I know, shocker huh? Just barely though). Why? Well, I wanna first talk about the positives of the map, rather than insulting it the entire time.
I think it's fun, it's a longer map, something I really wanted before the update that isn't 40 minutes long like Berezina and it's also intense and difficult. I also believe that it's well structured, with respawn points well placed and an interesting finale that's different from the others. Furthermore, it sparks the fear of bombers more than any other map which I'm glad about. It's an all around well made map, with new interesting mechanics and hopefully we see them again!
So, what is bad about this map?
First, going through the campaign ALIVE is a nightmare, with many drops and cover, this map is a danger zone for those who lag behind or take the leap for their teammates. In other words, if you get grabbed, unless you're with your group, you're done. Is that bad? No, but having the jump down into the elegant building, after putting out the fire, it makes surviving that much more difficult. Also, staying up with the zombie spawn instead of going down into the pump area is extremely dangerous as many people forget about it and are rarely climbing the ropes, even though they have to as to complete the objective. Trying to survive in the room, whee everyone teleports to the section after a certain amount of time? Yeah, that's nightmare in of itself. While you have that tiny room to barricade yourself in, bombers will make quick work of you, and staying outside of that room is dangerous as if you get grabbed, you're most likely dead. No matter, that's a skill issue. Although, the next part is not so. Having someone with a gun that knows to shoot the boat is a hope, not a guarantee, which makes this part annoying. Moreover, the constant bombers and the useless Mini Cannon, make this part even more difficult. As everyone is nearly forced into that little bridge part as the zombies nearly always overwhelm them. Making this part arguably harder than the finale itself. If you somehow make it across, you for sure are low health and better HOPE that you have surgeon, otherwise, sappers are going to have their field day with you during the finale.
Wow, that was a lot! I'm not done though!
Secondly, the finale. First, the music is an interesting choice. Not a bad song but simply cutting in the middle of it for an awkward silence for a minute is weird. Could edit it to fit, or simply started it later. In fact, they shoulda done Death of Nelson, and have it start later on, like it does, than having an entirely different song cut in the middle. It would have worked better, especially since you're fighting a brig sloop. No matter, I feel I have talked about the music enough. The second issue is that it makes every class core features useless except sapper and MAYBE chaplain. Although, a plus side is that it finally encourages the use of the Box Of Bandages, an underrated utility! Anyways, charge is useless as you are already probably hurt and damaged, and sappers are TOO common on this part to safely run in swinging. Line Infantry, while they CAN kill the seamen on board the sloop, nobody really does it from I have experienced and I'm usually sapper so I can't do it myself. Third, it is extremely easy. It's unfortunate as the bug where they could shoot through the boards made it nigh impossible and now, I mainly die from a runner pushing me off the boat or loading the cannon and glitching off the boat, rarely if ever does the brig sloop kill me or any of my team. You honestly only need one sapper as the brig is inconsistent with it's shooting and accuracy, which means that as long as the sapper is constantly pressing the button to repair the boards, you're probably going to win. The zombies are nearly a joke, with the only threat being the sapper and sometimes being the runner where they push you off the boat.
All in all, it's an alright map, I feel that it's overrated as getting through the map in one life is a nightmare until you reach the finale which is ungodly easy because of the need to fix bugs that were making it ungodly difficult. It's finale song is weird and majority of the classes are useless on this map, meaning you only really need one person with a gun, a couple surgeons, a couple sappers, and a chaplain.
(Extra: I take back what I said about the HAP, it's not horrible but it's not great either, can be utilized well though!) (Extra Extra: I know I am just about the only one to share this opinion, same with the HAP as well, but oh well, who cares).
