Just got home from surgery and feeling kind of lonely and lost. Would love to talk to/meet some new people

29M here from Northeast Illinois. I just had surgery today and will be stuck at home for quite a while. I have only 2 few close friends and have been feeling pretty lonely and sad lately to be honest. I'm normally a pretty upbeat person but life has been throwing me lots of curve balls lately.

I'm an easy going guy who can have fun doing pretty much anything. I'm athletic and enjoy doing weightlifting, playing baseball, basketball and football and pretty much anything else that involves being active or outside.

In general I'm more of a homebody in the sense that I'm not a partier and don't enjoy drinking or going to bars. I'm a big time night owl and love thunderstorms and late night drives. I like roller coasters, going to the movie theater, hiking and bonfires.

I would like to make a female friend as my closest friends are both guys and I feel like sometimes girls are a bit easier to be vulnerable with during deep conversations but I'm open to talking to or meeting anyone.

It would be awesome to talk to people who are somewhat close to me so we have the possibility of meeting, but I'm more than happy to make online friends too. I'm also a good person for you to vent to if you need. I truly care about my friends and will always do whatever I can to make them feel better.
