Questions

I have bipolar 1 and applied for SSDI, not sure if I'll get approved. But to be honest I don't really understand how it works in the first place. Is it just monthly stipends? Do you have to not be working? Does it affect ability to receive social security once retired? I guess I'm just looking to know the basics of SSDI
