Which Village of the Damned is the Best?

Village of the Damned is one of the movies on my horror ‘watch list’. I always thought that there was just the 1960 original version but after doing some research I found that there’s also a 1995 remake. Which is better? I don’t really fancy watching the same movie twice is all. Additionally, is it actually worth watching?
